PORTUGAL TELECOM (PT) will cut the price of certain fixed line calls by an average of 9.8 per cent from July 1. The new tariffs from PT were sent to Anacom, the National Authority for Communications, and the regulator has already canvassed opinions from the National Association of Consumers. The new framework defined by the operator envisages that all calls made within a 50km radius will now be classified as local calls, instead of the 10km radius limit currently in place.
