LISBON COMES out in third place of the world’s top 10 destinations to visit in 2008 according to US travel agency and travel brochure publishers, Sherman’s Travel.
Butan and Greenland were in first and second place respectively according to the travel publishing company, which said that Lisbon was the cheapest capital in Western Europe.
It also praised its seven hills, white limestone Portuguese cobbled streets (calçada Portuguesa) and innovative internationalised Portuguese cuisine.
