Castelo de Sonhos, the Silves-based family charity, held its annual children’s Christmas part on December 7 at the FISSUL exhibition centre in the town.
Around 120 underprivileged children aged up to 15 were entertained by a troupe of acrobatic Capoeira performers, face painting, bouncy castles and games.
Each child chose three presents from a wonderful selection and, in order to keep things fair, the best items were raffled.
The children were given a snack of delicious food donated by the Nobel International School Algarve and Iceland supermarket.
Organisers thanked all who got involved with supplying party food and presents. Special thanks went to the Rotary Club of Silves for donating toys, games and baby clothing throughout the year. Thanks also went to Silves Council for loaning FISSUL and supplying two enormous bouncy castles, and CAFAP (Silves family support unit) personnel and Castelo de Sonhos volunteers who ensured the party went without a hitch.
