The Algarveans experimental theatre group will be breaking with tradition and staging a family show in February to raise money for the regional Faro-based cancer association, Associação Oncológica do Algarve (AOA).
The AOA aim is to raise enough money to build an accommodation unit for patients, as many cancer sufferers currently travel long distances every day to receive treatment.
The show, entitled Algarveans X-Posed will allow members of The Algarveans to show off talents never before seen in public.
Many favourite characters and animals from different pantomimes and children’s stories will be included in the show with a lot of the younger members of the group dancing under the choreography of Karen Barroso.
Algarveans X – Posed will be staged at the Lagoa Auditorium on February 16 and 17 from 8pm.
Tickets cost 10 euros for adults and five euros for children and students. To book, please telephone (00351)282 789 608.
