Charity shop opens in Lagos

The Rosco Foundation held the official opening of its charity shop in Lagos on June 13.

Created in 2004, the foundation, which is named after 17 year old Rosco who died in a road accident, aims to provide a helping hand to those in need.

The greater part of the foundation’s work is dedicated to providing and organising workshops and activities, with the help of volunteers, for orphaned children living in local children´s homes and abroad. The foundation has organised workshops in art, pottery, circus skills, horse riding, carpentry, music and drama for the children´s home in Lagos and Alvor as well as camping trips during the summer holidays.

All donations are welcome at the new shop including clothes, furniture, household items, books and more. Rosco’s charity shop is located on Rua Professor Luis de Albuquerque and is open daily from 11am until 3pm.
