More than 1,250 euros was raised by the daring Christmas Day and New Year’s Day swimmers who braved the icy waters to raise money to buy new shoes for children in care.
Swimmers and paddlers gathered in front of the Hotel Garbe in Armação de Pêra to take part in the New Year’s Day swim in fancy dress mirroring the actions of the hundreds who had attended on Christmas day.
