After the successful opening of the first charity shop in Praia da Luz on June 6, members of the Madrugada charity are now appealing for anyone with unwanted clothes, household goods or other saleable items to bring them into the shop.
The new charity shop, given rent free to the charity by local businessman Barry Sadler, is managed by Helen Stokes, who is being assisted by Annette Brown and a number of other volunteers. The shop is open between 10.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday and from 10am until 1pm on Saturdays.
Money raised from sales at the charity shop are donated to the Madrugada charity, which helps families in the Algarve cope with the effects of serious illness.
