Charity pastry comes to Loulé

Charity pastry comes to Loulé

Event || Anyone with a sweet tooth should head to Loulé on Saturday when the town will be celebrating the day by baking a gigantic pastry in the main square.
The “Mega Folhado” initiative is designed to raise money for charitable institutions by selling the pastry off in slices to all and sundry.
The event, which begins at 9am and runs through the morning until 1pm, has been promoted with private university INUAF, in collaboration with the council and Loulé Doce.
Part of the idea is to promote this very “Louletano” delicacy, which visitors will find melts perfectly in the mouth.
Running alongside the great bake-in will be sporting activities including Zumba dancing, hip hop and cycling.
The institutions benefiting from the proceeds of the day are the ‘Os Miúdos’ children’s foster home and the Gentes de Loulé community centre.
