A charity lunch will be held by the Friends of Canil de Portimão group on Wednesday, November 23 at the Algarve Garden Restaurant, located on the EN125 road near the BP petrol stations between Porches and Lagoa.
The money raised at the event will be used to pay some of the animal charity’s outstanding veterinarian bills.
“We’ve had a lot of dogs with problems in the last months, which has led to large vet bills,” the charity group says.
“If there is any money left, we are also going to stock up on vaccines, de-wormers, pipettes and medicine.”
The warm/cold buffet lunch begins at midday. Price is €27.50, with €15 going to the charity’s animals. People are asked to bring an unwrapped present for the raffle as well.
Bookings must be made beforehand by email. The charity will then answer back with payment details.
There are a limited number of seats available.
