A charity golf day will be taking place on the Oceânico O’Connor Junior course at Amendoeira on October 11 in aid of the food bank (Banco Alimentar) and the Luz-based charity NECI, which supports children with learning difficulties.
The competition will be a four ball better ball stableford with 50% of the registration fee being donated to charity.
Registration costs €500 for a team of four players and includes green fees, buggy, unlimited driving range access on the tournament day, a buffet lunch and prize giving ceremony.
Prizes will be given for first, second and third place as well as for nearest the pin and for the longest drive.
A spokesman for Oceânico said: “Be generous, join us for a fun golfing day among friends and help us support some important local charities.”
