Charity Golf event raises €3,300

A charity golf tournament organised by Brian and Terri Randall took place on August 30 at Silves International Clube de Golfe.

Entitled the Rhiannon Trophy, the day was a huge success, with 84 players taking part in the tournament, mostly club members and guests. The event raised €3,300 thanks to the revenue from the entrance fee of €10, raffles and auction.

The son of Silves head greenkeeper, Alberto, is a child with special needs. Alberto does not receive financial support for the specialist care that his son, Angelo, requires. All the proceeds raised in the tournament went towards the costs of Angelo’s care, with the cheque being handed over to Alberto on September 3.

The Rhiannon Trophy, named after Brain and Terri Randall’s granddaughter who too needs special care, was won by Alan Wallis and Julian Lyons.
