ON OCTOBER 1, the winning ticket of the Art for Kidsake initiative will be drawn at a lively Charity Gala Night at Destino Restaurant in Meia Praia, Lagos. Art for Kidsake has been all about raising money for the needy children of the Algarve.
Eminent Dutch artist, Bo de la Haye, generously donated an original painting from his colourful “Flamenco Collection” to be won in a prize draw. With support from the Right Honourable Owen Gee K.o.S.M.A (better known as Kiss FM DJ Sir Owen Gee) and the Oceânico Group, Destino Restaurant was thought to be the perfect location for the painting to be shown over the summer months.
For only five euros, people have been able to buy a prize draw ticket at Destino and at many other outlets* across the Algarve, giving them a chance to win this fabulous work of art.
All net proceeds after costs will be distributed under the supervision of euroFinesco s.a to Núcleo de Educação para Crianças Inadaptadas (NECI), a centre for children with learning difficulties in Lagos, Castelo de Sonhos, a charity based in Silves that helps underprivileged families across the region, and Pirilampos Children’s Orphanage in Albufeira.
Sir Owen Gee will draw the winning ticket at the Charity Gala Night, and the prize will be presented by artist Bo de la Haye. With other great prizes on offer, such as a champagne lunch cruise with Champagne Cruises in Vilamoura, a gift voucher to spend at Cinnamon in Lagos and two day passes to be used at Estrela Health & Beauty in Praia da Luz, there is every incentive to part with your money!
The three-course meal, which includes drinks**, is only 30 euros per head and, with live music from Second Hand Day, who sing their great mix of modern and classic covers, the night is sure to be a great success.
