Castelo de Sonhos, the Silves-based charity supporting the underprivileged, is in desperate need of a replacement van in order to carry out its voluntary duties. The van is also used to deliver meals, so it is considered “a matter of urgency” that it purchases a replacement vehicle as the old van is no longer suitable.
In a bid to raise funds for the purchase, a dinner with live music by singer Emma Louise (pictured) will be held on Friday, December 9 at the Restaurant Ponte Romana in Silves, at 7.30pm. Raffle prizes are also being sought.
The cost for the dinner will be €20. It will be a three-course dinner, including beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee.
Castelo de Sonhos has been providing essential aid to the needy in the community for 17 years.
