A charity dinner in aid of Carvoeiro Cat Charity is taking place on Friday, March 10 at Restaurante Ti Teresa (Vale de Lousas) on the EN125 road in Alcantarilha, at 7pm for 7.30pm sit down.
Cost is €25 per person, which includes a selection of couverts, a choice of main course and a selection of desserts. Wine, soft drinks and coffee are included (spirits payable at the bar).
Organisers say: “All are invited to come along and enjoy a fun-filled evening, a delicious menu, good company and help to raise much-needed funds for the 203 wonderful cats in our care.”
On booking, please state your choice of main course.
- Fish dishes are served with either boiled potatoes and vegetables or French fries and salad: grilled seabass; ‘Linguado à Limão’ in the oven in a buttery lemon sauce (sautéed potatoes an option here); Bacalhau à Brás.
- Meat dishes are served with rice or French fries and salad: turkey kebabs; pork cooked in a port wine sauce; mini beef steaks.
- Vegetarian dishes: Veggie burger served with French fries; spaghetti with vegetables.
In addition to the usual raffles and other activities, organisers are delighted to welcome Karen Telling, a resident of Carvoeiro for many years, who is now a published author, having written two personal and amusing books about her and her husband’s experiences over the years, including her account of the many cats she has encountered and mentioning CCCA a number of times.
She will be selling her signed books, with personal dedications if requested, for the usual €10 with €3 coming directly to the charity on each book sold on the night.
