The Clube de Golfe das Dunas held a charity day at their home course of Salgados recently. Members paid five euros a head to play and the game was followed by a raffle for prizes generously donated by members and friends. At the end of the day, the club had raised a total of 600 euros for the Lar Samaritano Children’s Home in Alvor. Tony Carr, club president, and Manuel de Oliveira, club treasurer, have already presented a cheque for this amount to the home.
