Local charity Helping Hands in The Algarve will be holding a fundraising meal and auction this Saturday, December 7 at Fonte da Pedra Restaurant in São Brás de Alportel at 7pm.
The meal, including fish, meat and vegetarian options, costs €20 per person. Christmas dress/headgear will be optional.
The three parts of the auction will provide a wide range of bargain lots at prices starting at reasonable levels. One part of the evening will consist of a ‘raffle’ with a guaranteed prize for each €5 ticket. All ticket holders will win a prize, with the majority worth more than €5.
In the first main auction, lots will be of approximately €10 value. The second main auction will consist of about 10 items, up to approximately €100 in value, although they could well go to lucky bargain hunters for less. Maybe even solve that Christmas present list?
Helping Hands supports a variety of causes but, in the spirit of Christmas, they will be earmarking any proceeds from this event to the Casa da Primeira Infância children’s home in Loulé, who care for children from babies up to the end of primary school age.
