More than 85 people took part in a charity bike ride in Vilamoura on December 12, which raised 730 euros for a Faro-based association that protects young girls.
The ride, organised by the Vila Sol Algarve Renaissance SPA & Golf Resort, is part of the Marriott hotel group’s programme to help the local community where its hotels are based.
Supported by bike shop Megasport, the event aimed to raise funds and awareness for the Associação de Protecção de Raparigas de Faro, which helps underprivileged teenage girls through social integration programmes.
