Charitable clubs support Algarve’s needy children

Members of the Algarve 41 Club recently visited the Pirilampos home for children to make a donation of €400 to the Amigos das Crianças (part of the Peta Birch Community Association) and meet the children and staff at the home.
This follows an earlier donation (€320) presented in January to the Amigos by the Letchworth Garden City 41 Club and Letchworth Garden City Tangent Club (wives of 41 Club members), organised and masterminded by Mike Smith, who was also present at this later visit.
The monies will be used for dental and optical care (glasses), furniture for the homes, birthday presents, and costs towards excursions for the children.
The Algarve 41 Club comprises ex Round Tablers who meet regularly every month, with their wives, at Restaurant O Farol on the Rocha Brava resort just outside Carvoeiro.
For more information or to learn how to join the club, please contact the club Secretary Michael Brown on 282 762 176.
