Inspired by true events, this powerful film charts the story of Christine (Angelina Jolie), a woman driven to confront and expose the corrupt Los Angeles Police after her son was abducted and the boy that was returned by police was not her son.
Set in the 1920s, Christine is a lonely voice in prohibition era Los Angeles and as a result of her outspoken views she is slandered by all those around her.
Only one man is brave enough to stand by her side, local Reverend Briegleb (Malkovich) but will this be enough for justice to be done.
