KISS FM’s Roadshow came to the Champagne Cruises’ kiosk at Vilamoura Marina on Easter Sunday, thanks to modern technology, the power of computers and broadband. With a special Kiss FM programme installed into the Champagne Cruises’ computer, there was a direct connection by internet broadband to the studios at Albufeira.
It was a team effort, with Owen Gee DJ-ing while his able assistant, Helen, (pictured above) answered the telephones and dealt with visitors. Meanwhile, back at the studio, José Manuel Lorenzo was making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible with the outside broadcast link going through the studio. Visitors were treated to a goodie bag and a drink aboard Tresor and shown around the 15-metre vessel by Theresa Cain. Several guests donated Easter eggs for the Pirilampos children’s orphanage, which Owen and Helen delivered after enjoying an ‘egg-citing’ cruise aboard Tresor.
