Confrères Karin and Vincent Winiker greeted guests to a mid-summer event on Saturday, July 15 on the terrace of their Restaurant Vivendo with a welcome drink and tempura snacks in brilliant warm sunshine which had inspired several members to don suitable summer headgear.
The picture-postcard view out to the beach of Meia Praia, Lagos from the first-floor restaurant added to the relaxed mood.
The host, the talented Chef Christoph Voigt, and his team had once again delighted guests with high standard cuisine and hospitality.
The menu of tuna in a spiced herb crust, slices of pink roast beef on crisp vegetables and a dessert of mango and passion fruit, with accompanying wines, was well suited to the high temperatures and enjoyed by all present.
The event generated funds for the charities worldwide supported by the Chaîne Foundation, including the Gastronomy School in Évora.
