A concert to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the Loulé Flute Ensemble will be held at Boliqueime church tomorrow (January 19) at 9.30pm.
A varied selection of musical pieces will be interpreted by the Ensemble, including works by Tielman Susato, Arcangelo Corelli, Georg Philipp Telemann, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier and Lennon/McCartney.
The performance will also feature the Camera Canticorum choir.
The Flute Ensemble was formed in December 1994 by students of the Loulé Music School.
Supported by Loulé Câmara, the group participates each year in the Ancient Music Festival, which takes place in the council usually in late September and October (the official festival programme hasn’t yet been released), and has recorded three CDs to date, with pieces from the Middle Age period to the 20th century.
Admission to the concert is free.
