Eight Algarve councils are participating in the third Festa da Natureza (Nature Feast) this weekend.
Aiming to celebrate nature and its biodiversity, Vila do Bispo, Lagoa, Silves, Albufeira, Loulé, Faro, Tavira and Alcoutim are hosts to several initiatives organised by environmental association Almargem, such as field trips, fauna and flora observation, nature walks, exhibitions, among others.
In Albufeira this Sunday, a birdwatching event is taking place at Lagoa dos Salgados from 9.30am to 12.30pm, aiming also to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the natural habitats of the local fauna and flora.
Participants should take binoculars, comfortable clothing and shoes and water.
