A Portuguese football victory and the contagious music of Brazilian band EVE were the main ingredients of the party in Quarteira recently.
Music and football fans flocked to the Praça do Mar to watch the ‘Tugas’ win against Spain on a giant screen provided by the Euro 2004 Society. Then it was EVE’s turn to take the Eurodromo TMN/Rádio Comercial stage. The group performed all their big hits, including Beleza Rara, Eva and Vem, meu amor, and songs by other well-known Brazilian artists.
In a rousing finalé, singer Saulo Fernandes donned the national team’s shirt and led a samba round the entire event, involving all the band members and the public.
