BY POPULAR demand, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hugely popular musical, Cats, is returning to Portugal in October with performances scheduled in Lisbon and Porto. The musical was first performed here two years ago and tickets for a six-week run sold out so fast, it was clear there was great demand for its return.
Cats has enjoyed 20 years of success in London’s West End and on Broadway, and is based on TS Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. Here in Portugal, theatregoers can expect to see the original production in English.
Cats is being performed at Porto’s Coliseu dos Recreios on September 12 and at Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios from October 5 to 8. Tickets are priced from 20 euros to 65 euros and boxes are also available at various prices.
