An opportunity to celebrate Catholic Mass in English will take place this Sunday, July 16 at 4pm, in Carvoeiro, at the chapel on the eastern cliffs.
The whole Mass will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass.
“Everyone is most welcome, especially our summer visitors flooding in from all parts of the world,” says the Carvoeiro Catholics group. “We will be making a cash collection for the Food Bank. We have over 100 families in need at this time.”
Padre Nuno Coelho, the parish priest, will be the celebrant.
The usual time for weekend Mass in Portuguese in Carvoeiro is Saturday at 5.30pm. The English Mass (normally the third Sunday of every month) does not replace that.
Refreshments will be served after the Mass. All are welcome to attend.
