Catholic institute reveals six unclaimed babies were buried last year

Six children “of a very tender age” were buried last year without any relatives coming forward to claim them. The heartbreaking news comes from a Catholic institute in Lisbon that takes care of burials of those who die alone. Many are homeless people. Last year there were 86. The children, five boys and a girl, were all “very young”. “Not newborns,” said a spokesman. “But of a very tender age.”
