A sterilisation programme for stray cats will be taking place in the municipality of Olhão on October 28 and November 2, 4 and 8.
Olhão Câmara has launched the programme in association with private vets in the area and the association for the defence of animals and plants in Olhão (ADAPO).
Colonies of cats will be identified by ADAPO and then targeted for sterilisation treatments during the campaign, in a bid to stem the reproduction of stray cats.
