A VETERINARY surgeon in Boston, the US, has succeeded in reattaching the face of a four year old cat that arrived home with part of it dangling from its head.
Edgar’s owner found her pet in her litter box after she had gone missing for three days.
Surgical technician Elizabeth Kendrick said:”When her owner saw her face, she passed out.”
The owner recovered from the shock and rushed Edgar to an animal hospital.
According to veterinary surgeon Michael Pavletic, the cat suffered no major blood loss or permanent nerve damage.
“She’ll need to take some medicine but I don’t anticipate her having any problems,” he said.
