The Covid-19 pandemic has claimed a new ‘cultural victim’ with the cancellation of this year’s salt nativity scene in Castro Marim.
The local parish council has confirmed that the iconic nativity scene won’t happen this year. It was a “painful decision”, it says, but one that aims to protect the health and well-being of the local population.
