Castro Marim invests €95,000 to repave Foz de Odeleite streets

Castro Marim Council has launched a public tender for a €95,000 project to repave the streets of Foz de Odeleite. The bulk of the works will involve repaving the village’s “irregular” streets, which are made of schist.

While the streets are “aesthetically attractive”, says the council, they have always posed “locomotion challenges” to older residents.

The project will also involve repaving some of the village’s concrete streets and paving some of its existing dirt roads.
