It’s just one more week before Castro Marim travels back in time to host its ‘Medieval Days’ fair.
The event runs from Wednesday to Sunday (August 24-28), giving visitors a taste of what it was like to live during the Middle Ages.
A street merchant fair, musical performances, battle reenactments, an exhibition of instruments of torture and even a ‘royal medieval banquet’ are all on the agenda.
Tickets range from €2 to €30, depending on which parts of the fair people want to access (the street fair or the castle, or both) and whether or not you want to take part in a medieval banquet.
Admission is free for Castro Marim residents, who can obtain their resident “credentials” at the Gabinete de Apoio ao Munícipe (GAM) or the Azinhal, Altura and Odeleite parish councils.
