The wildfire that broke out in Castro Marim and spread to the neighbouring municipalities of Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António in August caused damages to the tune of at least €2.3 million.
Reports TSF radio, the Ministry of Agriculture has received 128 reports from farmers affected by the fire but not all the damage has been taken into account yet, meaning the sum could be higher.
