Two new bike lanes are being constructed in Castro Marim to link the town to Vila Real de Santo António and Altura and make the distance easier for cyclists.
One will be located on a 3km stretch of the EN122 road between Castro Marim and VRSA, and the other on a 5km section of the EN125-6.
The goal is to cater for tourists who “appreciate nature, like to ride bicycles and seek something different from the traditional offer of ‘sun and beach’”.
