Cases of dementia in Portugal “could triple by 2050”, warns study

A new study published in The Lancet Public Health (click here) suggests the number of cases of dementia in Portugal could triple by 2050. The study looks at dementia and global trends, stressing people can reduce risks: they need to maintain a healthy weight, give up smoking, and ensure blood sugar levels are low. Other risk factors exist, but these three are presented as fairly pivotal.
