Gerry and Kate McCann arrived in Lisbon on Wednesday to attend the final day of the court case which sees the couple attempting to uphold a ban of the controversial book by Gonçalo Amaral, former lead investigator in the case into the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine McCann.
At the time the Algarve Resident went to press on Wednesday, two witnesses had been called to give evidence in the case, Eduardo Dâmanso, the editor in chief of Correio da Manhã newspaper, and Luis Frois, the general manager of VC Films, the company that made the documentary based on the book A Verdade da Mentira, The Truth of the Lie.
