Following the success of previous years, by members request the CASA Social Club booked another barbecue buffet on the terrace at the Holiday Inn in Armação de Pêra earlier this month.
It was a ‘full house’ of 60 for the seating on the terrace with stunning sea views as the sun set.
Norman Crocker from CASA said: “The beach area just to the east was absolutely packed with bathers when we arrived but, by the time we had finished our meal, both the hotel pool and the beach were deserted and peaceful.”
The menu included a self-service choice of Indian and European barbecue cuisine. The food and attentive service by the wine waiters made for “another very happy evening in a beautiful location”.
CASA’s next meeting will be a lunch on Saturday, Setember 17 at Restaurante Rainha near the Barragem do Arade, east of Silves.
The club, based in Carvoeiro, has been running social events in the Algarve for over 30 years.
