Carvoeiro-based social club CASA started off its busy autumn schedule on September 16 with around 30 members enjoying lunch at Restaurant Salgadosmar, near Guia.
Apart from enjoying the delicious food, the conversation was in full flow with members exchanging details of their travels during the summer.
The lunch was followed by a new venture (or adventure) for the club – on September 27, members met at Adventure Golf, near Alvor, for a round of ‘golf’, though not quite the game the professionals might recognise.
The 24 attendees set off in various groups for their round. The course was reasonably easy to start with but got a little harder as play progressed. A great deal of entertainment was had negotiating dinosaurs and similar unusual obstructions!
After playing their round, everyone sat down to an English tea. The afternoon was rounded off by the presentation of a ‘Star Player Cup’ to club member David Harris.
CASA’s next event on October 26 is a lunch at the Faro Catering College (Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Algarve), which will then be followed by a five-day coach trip (now fully booked) to Cordoba and Granada in early November.
