CASA social club members raised €1,000 last year for the Albufeira Bombeiros, which enabled them to purchase emergency rescue equipment.
CASA chairman Norman Thompson and committee members Pam Elson and Carol Carpenter visited the station where second-in-command António Coelho and his colleagues Nuno Correia and Sónia Santos demonstrated the equipment.
The station houses 29 vehicles and 110 firefighters of whom 39 are professional; the remainder are volunteers.
