Tennis teams from Carvoeiro Clube de Ténis took part in the Regional Tennis Team Championships for Veteran Players earlier this month with four of the teams that entered from the club qualifying for the National Championships to be held in Lisbon in October.
A total of seven teams from the club competed in the Ladies 35 A and B, Ladies 45 A and B, Men 35, Men 45 and Men 55 categories.
A spokesman from Carvoeiro Clube de Ténis said: “The results were unbelievable and far beyond our expectations with both the ladies teams and the Men 35 team finishing as the Algarve champions and the Men 45 team finishing as runners-up.”
