Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich will be the celebrant on Sunday, August 8 at 4pm in Carvoeiro at the chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation, located on the eastern cliffs.
The Cardinal is spending a few weeks in his summer residence in Carvoeiro and this English mass is being held one week early to fit in with his travel plans.
“We are most fortunate to have him amongst us as Pope Francis has recently appointed the Cardinal as Relator General for the next Synod of Bishops,” said Madeleine Wheare of Carvoeiro Catholics.
Covid-19 rules will apply – masks, hand sanitiser at the door and distanced seating.
A contribution for the Food Bank is welcome. Food items should have a long shelf life, and these will be distributed among families in need.
