Festivities in honour of Our Lady of Encarnação will be taking place this weekend (August 24 and 25) in Carvoeiro.
The primarily religious festival will include entertainment, music and activities for children all weekend, while on Sunday there will be a procession through the town from 7pm followed by a fireworks display at midnight.
The celebrations are much-enjoyed by the local community and tourists alike.
