A “special edition” of Carvoeiro’s Black & White Night party was held last weekend to mark the arrival of summer. The town was unusually quiet in complete contrast with pre-pandemic editions of the hugely popular event.
Due to the pandemic, there was none of the usual musical entertainment in order to avoid large gatherings. Instead, “celebrations” were limited to street decorations.
“These are difficult times marked by many limitations and, as such, the event had to be fully adapted to the new reality to ensure all safety conditions,” said Lagoa Council. “We hope to be back in 2022 with the original format.”
