A town filled to the brim with people is what Carvoeiro is expecting for its ‘Bye-bye Summer’ party to be held on August 29 – the last busy Saturday of the month which will also see Loulé holding its ‘White Night’ party.
Marking the end of the summer celebrations, the event will include performances by well-known Algarve band Íris and Portuguese DJ Pedro Tabuada.
The party begins at 8pm with DJ Alex, who will keep people dancing until Íris take to the stage at 9.30pm.
Celebrations will move to the beach at midnight, with DJs Mike Fuentez and Pedro Tabuada getting everyone dancing until 3am.
Organised by the Lagoa and Carvoeiro parish union, the event hopes to be a worthy follow-up to the ‘Black and White Night’, which opened the town’s summer celebrations and attracted around 20,000 people.
