A charity fashion show was held at Pestana’s Pinta Clubhouse on May 25 with all proceeds from the evening in aid of Madrugada.
The evening, which was organised by Trish Hussey, the Social Secretary of Carvoeiro Golf & Country Club, raised €1,790 for the charity that supports people with life-limiting illnesses, the chosen beneficiary by the Club Captains Terry Hussey and Jenny Leavesley.
Members of the club modelled the clothes from Fi-Line Fashions of Armação de Pêra and the Gramacho Pro-Shop. Victor Picardo Hair Salons in Lagoa and Carvoeiro kindly did the models’ hair for the event.
A raffle was also held with many prizes sponsored by restaurants Bon Bon, O Salmão, Poço Partido, The Farragood, Italia and Praia Grande. Sir Cliff Richard donated an autographed bottle of his Espumante for auction and a case of wine for the raffle. Heather John who runs the art club for members donated one of her paintings for auction.
José Matias and Pestana sponsored the finger buffet and Victor Haslett acted as MC for the evening.
