Carvoeiro Cat Charity fundraising dinner

Carvoeiro Cat Charity Association (CCCA) is holding its first charity dinner in over 18 months due to Covid-19 restrictions. It will be held at the family-run Ti Teresa Restaurant, near Alcantarilha, on Friday, June 11.

Ti Teresa will adhere to strict Covid-19 restrictions, which means places are limited.

Organisers say: “We are looking forward to a fun-filled evening where seating will be at tables of four, generously spaced, and will involve the dinner itself, a ‘Guess the Weight Hamper’ valued at over €70 at €5 a ticket, a raffle and a lucky dip.”

The evening will start at 7pm with everyone seated for 7.30pm.

The menu consists of a variety of usual appetisers, a first course of homemade vegetable soup, followed by a choice of main course and a selection of desserts.

Main course choices are: grilled chicken, with or without piri piri, French fries and mixed salad; breaded fish fillets with French fries and a mixed salad; vegetarian lasagne with mixed salad.

All drinks including after dinner coffee are included in the ticket price of €25, with €10 going directly to the charity.

“Anyone who knows Ti Teresa will know that this family-run business, headed by son Nuno, will ensure a lovely evening with wonderful service, plenty of banter and, more importantly, much-needed funding raised for the charity,” say organisers.

The restaurant is located on the EN125 between Porches and A22 Alcantarilha roundabout.
