Carvoeiro Beach Party headlines local religious celebrations

Carvoeiro’s annual festivities in honour of Our Lady of Incarnation (Nossa Senhora da Encarnação) will return this year with several cultural and religious activities, headlined by another edition of Carvoeiro Beach Party.

The party, which will be free to attend, will take place on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 and will bring five musical acts to the popular beachside village.

Performances will begin at 8pm with DJ Noxwell, followed by I Love Baile Funk at 10pm, Pete Sleeve at midnight and Pedro Carillho ft Mr. Vlalen at 1am. The party will continue the following evening with a concert by Barreiro band Companhia Limitada at 9pm.

Carvoeiro Beach Party is organised by the Parish Union of Lagoa and Carvoeiro and is sponsored by the Carvoeiro Plaza Hotel, Levels Beach Bar and Restaurant, Restaurante O Pátio, JAN and Tapas da Vila – Food and Wine. It is also backed by Lagoa Council.

Meanwhile, the festivities will also include several religious events, starting with an evening Mass at 5.30pm on Saturday, August 26 at Carvoeiro’s recently-renovated Nossa Senhora da Encarnação chapel, followed by a ‘Velada de Armas’ ceremony involving the ‘Promessas do Agrupamento 1331 Carvoeiro’ Scouts group at 9pm.

On Sunday, August 27, a Solemn Mass is scheduled for 6.30pm while a procession with the image of Our Lady of Incarnation will be held at 7.30pm with the presence of the Banda Filarmónica de Silves (Silves Philarmonic Band) and 511 Lagoa Scouts group.
