Carvoeiro beach ‘bigger’ as maritime corridor shrinks by 10 metres

The ‘maritime corridor’ used mainly by tourist boat companies on busy Carvoeiro beach has been narrowed from 25 metres wide to 15 metres to allow more space for beachgoers to lay their towels in line with social distancing rules implemented by the national health authority DGS.

The decision to allow more space for beachgoers was made by the Portimão Port Authority in collaboration with Lagoa Council, writes Lagoa Informa newspaper.
