THE AVERAGE cost of cars on sale in Portugal is 22 per cent higher than in the rest of Europe, according to a PricewaterhouseCoopers’ study and figures from europrice.com. This is due to higher taxation on cars as well as a general rise in prices over the past 12 months, compared with other countries within the European Union.
