BUS TICKETS, purchased on Carris buses, will only be valid for 60 minutes from the moment they are purchased, according to new company regulations. This will be just one of a range of new measures introduced by the bus company as part of a major restructuring programme, which will come into force on September 9. With the introduction of a new network, Rede Sete, 28 new routes will be created and all paper card passes will be abolished, replaced with a new magnetic card called Sete Colinas (Seven Hills). Among other changes will be the introduction of faster transport (at present many older tram vehicles can only travel at 15 miles per hour). The company has confirmed that there will be no route changes to its night service.
